• L'étude publiée aujourd'hui démontre qu'une association intelligente d'hydrogène et de biométhane avec l'électricité représente la méthode optimale en vue de décarboniser le système énergétique qui à terme deviendra totalement renouvelable.
• Injecter environ 2 900 TWh ou approximativement 270 mia m3 (équivalent gaz naturel) d'hydrogène vert et de méthane renouvelable dans l'infrastructure gazière existante dans l’UE permettrait à la société d'économiser, d'ici 2050, 217 milliards € par an, comparé à un système énergétique utilisant une quantité minimale de gaz.
• Des économies substantielles sont possibles dans la production d'hydrogène, de biométhane et de power-to-methane

Bruxelles, 5 février 2019 – Fluxys et Titan LNG unissent leurs forces pour construire le FlexFueler 002, un ponton de soutage destiné à accroître la disponibilité du gaz naturel liquéfié (GNL) en tant que carburant maritime au port d'Anvers et dans sa région. Le ponton entrera en service au second semestre 2020 et soutiendra l'industrie du transport maritime dans sa transition vers des opérations plus écologiques. Titan LNG sera l'opérateur du ponton à long terme.
