Industrial Pact NRW: Fluxys TENP joins climate neutrality alliance

Fluxys TENP joins the Industrial Pact NRW. The aim of the alliance, which was launched by the North Rhine-Westphalian state government at the end of 2022, is to develop a roadmap for the transformation of North Rhine-Westphalia's industry. By 2045 at the latest, NRW is to become the first climate-neutral industrial region in Europe.
For this to succeed, industry on the Rhine and Ruhr depends on the reliable supply of hydrogen and effective transport solutions for unavoidable CO2. Fluxys is already working to build the energy network of the future and to contribute to decarbonisation across borders: A hydrogen connection between Belgium and Germany is to be realised by 2028. Also under study is to have a CO2 backbone linking Germany with Belgium and, thus, with permanent offshore storages by 2030.
