INT makes additional volume available via IAM

From 27 March 2023, Interconnector will be making up to 50% of Technical Capacity available to purchase via IAM for Gas Year 24 onwards.

This increases the amount of UK export capacity being offered by 8% or c. 2GWh/h, with the change also applying to UK import capacity. Previously the calculation was up to 50% of Firm capacity.

With limited quantities sold in the previous annual auction for these periods, this increased IAM offering will provide an additional opportunity to secure the capacity ahead of the next PRISMA auction in July.

This adjustment does not affect the Charging Statement, and the tariff incentives remain available for multi-year and bidirectional products. 

The change will be effective from 27 March 2023.
