Electrical and Instrument (E&I) Technician
The roles are day shifts Monday to Friday and are permanent and full time.
Due to an internal promotion, we are looking to recruit an E&I Technician in addition to a second role to build resilience in the busy team. The roles are based at our Gas Compression Terminal and associated Pressure Let Down facilities at the Bacton Gas Terminal, North Norfolk, England.
About you
Working within the Maintenance Team and reporting into the Lead E&I Technician you will undertake a range of duties in order to safely maintain Terminal assets to a high standard and all applicable regulations and company procedures.
Key accountabilities
Responsibilities will include working as part of a team of Technicians to undertake Mechanical, Electrical & Instrumentation maintenance including outages and maintenance turnarounds:
- Assisting the Lead Electrical and Instrument Technician in planning the inspection and maintenance of all site electrical equipment, instrument equipment and cathodic protection systems.
- Carrying out isolations, planned & unplanned maintenance, inspection, fault diagnosis, calibrations repair & testing of all site electrical, instrumentation, control systems, and cathodic protection equipment.
- Supervising E&I maintenance support contractors and vendors as and when required.
- Testing & commissioning of new and repaired equipment.
Skills and experience
In terms of skills and experience it is preferred that you have:- An ONC or HNC equivalent or proven technical experience in Electrical or Instrumentation (E&I) related discipline.
- Min 5 years’ oil and gas or other hazardous site related maintenance experience.
- Experience of task risk assessments in Process Safety related environment, ideally in the gas industry.
