Information on the transport of odorised gas at the IP Wallbach / VIP Germany-CH
The deodorisation plant operated by Fluxys TENP GmbH and Open Grid Europe GmbH in Schwörstadt binds the odorant added to the gas fed into the TENP pipeline from Switzerland and France.
Due to the crisis-related changes in flow scenarios, the deodorisation plant is currently being used more regularly.
In view of the alarm phase declared by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action on 23 June 2022 in accordance with the "Emergency Plan for Gas for the Federal Republic of Germany ", Fluxys TENP GmbH and Open Grid Europe GmbH would like to inform you that we will also accept odorised gas into the German transmission system at the IP Wallbach / VIP Germany-CH at times when the deodorisation plant is temporarily unavailable. In principle the gas specification according to DVGW-worksheet “G 260:2021-09 gas specification” allows a total sulphur content of 30 mg/m³ in reasonable cases. The transport at the IP Wallbach / VIP Germany-CH will therefore not be affected.
