During the first half of 2019, the number of ships docking at the Zeebrugge LNG terminal rose by 123% compared to the same period in 2018. Fluxys Belgium is also seeing a sharp increase in the number of LNG trucks loaded.
Extensive inspections on TENP I (Trans Europa Naturgas Pipeline), one of the two natural gas transmission pipelines of the dual gas transmission system from Bocholtz (on the German/Dutch border) to Wallbach (on the German/Swiss border), have revealed corrosion defects, as published by Open Grid Europe GmbH (OGE) and Fluxys TENP GmbH (Fluxys TENP), the transmission system operators of the TENP (Trans Europa Naturgas Pipeline) pipeline System, on 27th September 2017.
The delivery period runs from 1 January 2020, 06:00 hours, for an indefinite period.

The TSOs of the South-North Corridor Region have today released the third edition of their Gas Regional Investment Plan in line with Article 12(1) of the Regulation (EC) N° 715/2009. This third edition builds further on the previous editions of the SNC GRIP, while also complementing the Ten-Year Network Development Plan 2017, and has been jointly coordinated by Snam Rete Gas and Fluxys Belgium.
In order to ensure the security of supply needs resulting from the NDP 2018, OGE and Fluxys TENP in their function as shareholders of TENP KG, had decided to start building a new pipeline section between Mittelbrunn-Schwanheim and Hügelheim-Tannenkirch, as well as the necessary connections to the TENP II pipeline. The measures were included in the NDP 2018.

Information regarding the introduction of VIP between NCG and TTF
At the Zeebrugge LNG Terminal the number of LNG tanker-truck loading operations continues to rise. With a view to making sure it can keep responding to the growing level of demand Fluxys LNG will construct a second truck loading station.
The first string of EUGAL has already been transporting natural gas since 1 January 2020. The second string and the compressor station went into operation on 1 April 2021 and expand the transport capacity to up to 55 billion m³ of natural gas per year.
